Tony has switched several times from supplier to buyer in his career. Starting off working within the new car dealership industry for 15 years as a VW/Audi Corporate Sales Manager.
In 1997 Tony became ‘poacher turned game keeper’ when he moved from selling to buying when he became Group Fleet Manager at Sedgwick plc (later Marsh McLennan) procuring, funding and running their 2500 company car fleet.
Moving back again to the ‘other side’ as a supplier in 2004 when he joined BMW’s own leasing company Alphabet, providing lease funding and fleet management to fleet operators in the UK.
He switched back again to the buying side by joining a leading Utility Contractors Plant & Vehicle hire division operating 2500 vehicles (cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks) and 10,000 items of plant. As Head of Fleet Services (and Procurement) Tony gained valuable experience in running a mixed and diverse plant & vehicle hire fleet with all of the challenges that entailed, including all funding arrangements.
This varied career gives Tony a multi-faceted understanding of our client’s needs and challenges, no one knows the plant and vehicle leasing sector and his ‘black book of contacts’ could be worth a fortune. CMF is proud to have such experienced player in their line-up.
